Kearney Cook-Off

This award-winning campaign was created to support and fundraise for The Kearney Center. After losing funding, the homeless shelter known as The Kearney Center needed to earn funds quickly. In the span of three weeks, we created and promoted a food competition known as The Kearney Cook-Off. Local celebrities used their social media platforms to encourage people to donate money. The money would go toward specific ingredients that the celebrities would have access to during the challenge. We were able to use this method to also highlight the fact that many shelters have to make do with whatever food items are donated on a regular basis. This can pose challenges when creating full and balanced meals.

The competition took place with all four celebrities having an allotted amount of time to prepare their meals. Judges included clients from The Kearney Center, and the shelter was able to raise a significant amount of funds both before and after the event.
